Ug Roslein is the virtual space I created to introduce and propose myself as a young graphic designer, who graduated from
Polytechnic Institute of Turin, Italy.
"U.G." are the initials of my customary internet nickname, while the word "Roslein" is a tribute to the german folk poetry, transcribed by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe in 1771 with the title "Heidenröslein" (Rose on the Heath or Little Rose of the Field) and set to music by Franz Schubert as a Lied, in 1815; also reinterpreted by german band Rammstein, in their single Rosenrot, whereby I got in touch with the poem.
I choose to match the rose and the snake, which describes the flower stalk, to symbolize the union between passion and insight: the same values I pursue in my job, as well as rigour in application of representation techniques.
